Val grew up in Huntley, Illinois, and holds his B.A. from Northern Illinois University, M.B.A from University College Cork, and also attended the University of Indiana for further post graduate work. He is a member of EVCA, Venture Capital Institute, London, U.K. Over the years, he has served as an Executive Officer for several overseas United States cultural exchange programs.

Formerly of Peacock, Challis, & Rose of Ireland, Mr. Shebeko recruited and staffed for company start-ups and specialty assignments in finance, the chemical industry, and business development in the former U.S.S.R. and Europe.

Mr. Shebeko was also a founder of the Center for International Business and Travel of Washington, D. C.

He is a member of the national chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management and the Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce and attends a variety of local committee meetings sponsored by the Chamber that concern the local workforce and business.
